Our Commitment to Inclusivity

Blog

June is a month that means a lot to many Actium Health employees. It is a time to celebrate and recognize members in the LGBTQIA+ community, and a time to reflect on how we can continue to foster a welcoming and safe workspace for all.

Last year, we wrote about the difficult decision not to change our logo to include the Pride Flag. It was not an easy decision to make, and we agreed to take concrete steps that would continue advancing awareness of the LGBTQIA+ community as well as other groups who have been marginalized, oppressed and discriminated against.

Since 2021 our DEI group, known internally as MERGE (short for Minority Employee Resource Group for Ethnic, Racial, & LGBTQ Minorities), has been working in tandem with other members of our company to continuously improve and reach the goals that we set out for last year. Our mission, while not easy, is simple. MERGE exists to help celebrate diversity and encourage all of our employees, customers, partners, and communities to use their voices to promote equity, and treat others with respect.

In the last year we have:

We are proud of what we have accomplished, and look forward to continuing to improve.

This Pride Month, MERGE continues their efforts to educate our team members about the LGBTQIA+ community through social events that celebrate the community, as well as featuring speakers who are helping us to better understand gender identity and sexual orientation.

Actium Health is proud to support the LGBTQIA+ community, and we are committed to providing an open and safe work environment where we respect everyone’s personal choices, lifestyles, and preferences. Not just in June.

This year, we are proud to change our logo to include the Pride Flag. We know that while the update of our logo may be temporary, our initiatives and support are not.

With commitment,
The Actium Health MERGE Team
